Arsenal beat newly promoted side Coventry City 3-0 in a very promising win, ensuring the current Premier League champions could do it again as Mikel Arteta's side looks better than ever.

Arsenal scored the first goal of the 26/27 campaign through German international Kai Havertz, with a pass into the area by left-back Riccardo Calafiori in the 15th minute of the game Havertz was able to easily slot the ball into the bottom corner with ease.

Continuing their dominant first-half display, a shot by new arrival Christos Tzolis was saved by Coventry goalkeeper Carl Rushworth which would eventually spill into Bukayo Saka who made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute.

Although Christos Tzolis did not get the assist for the goal, he was pivotal in the build-up play. His Arsenal Premier League debut made many Arsenal fans across the world start talking, maybe he was the world-class winger Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta signed by accident. Many Arsenal fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to praise the performance of the Greek winger comparing him to former Arsenal great Alexis Sanchez.

After a sensational first-half, Frank Lampard's newly promoted Coventry City side showed no signs of improvement, in the 49th minute Martin Odegaard chipped the ball after a ball from Ben White and ended up putting it into the Coventry City net to make it 3-0 to Arsenal.

After a great perfromance against Manchester City in the Community Shield, the signs of prime Martin Odegaard are starting to linger around the Emirates Stadium once more.

After the third goal, there was not much more to say. Arsenal started to look tired, Mikel Arteta substituted Declan Rice and brought on Martin Zubimendi alongside Noni Maduke in exchange for goal-scorer Bukayo Saka.

Later on without any signs of scoring a fourth Eze replaced Tzolis, Merino replaced Odegaard and Piero Hincapie replaced Calafiori Overall it was a great first win of the season for the Premier League champions.
