WEST HAM AGREE DEAL TO SIGN REISS NELSON ON A PERMANENT TRANSFER FROM ARSENAL
West Ham United have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of 26-year-old Reiss Nelson from Arsenal.

West Ham United have reached an agreement with Arsenal for the permanent sale of Reiss Nelson, with the 26-year-old English winger wanting the move for some time.
Fulham had made an ambitious attempt to sign Nelson earlier in the transfer window. While personal terms were not an issue, the two clubs ultimately failed to agree on a transfer fee. Nelson previously spent the 2024–25 season on loan at Craven Cottage, but a return for the 2025–26 campaign collapsed, leading him to join Brentford on loan instead. A product of the famed Hale End academy, Nelson made his senior debut under Arsène Wenger during the 2017–18 season and went on to make 90 appearances for the club.
During his time in north London, Nelson lifted the FA Cup and collected four FA Community Shield medals, alongside winning the Under-21 league title with the academy squad in 2018. His impending departure marks a major milestone; as the longest-serving member of the current squad, Nelson represents the final playing link to the iconic Arsène Wenger era at Arsenal.
Reiss Nelson will sign a five-year-contract at West Ham United, Arsenal did receive other approaches from Championship and Premier League sides but the player had his heart set on a move to West Ham for some time.
While a fee has been agreed, West Ham are not looking to finalise the transfer till they assess the avalability of other transfer targets with a week left in the summer transfer window.
